Jairus came to Symbol in the Spring of 2013 hoping to get his career back on track. He had been laid off from a lightbar assembler position, and despite his skills and experience, was finding it difficult to get another job. There was a shortage of openings in his field and he knew that it was time to consider a new field. Jairus learned about Symbol through a web search and scheduled a tour. Jairus researched the CNC field prior to his tour and was impressed with the number of opportunities he found throughout the Chicagoland area. He enrolled in Symbol's CNC 303: CNC Technology with Internship program. Jairus did very well in the program and with the support of his wife and family, he was able to devote a lot of time to his studies and his job search. He ended up getting hired a week before completing his courses! Bolzoni Auramo offered him a full time operator position at $16/hour. Jairus says that he is extremely grateful to Symbol and to his family for supporting his personal development.
