Eldridge Stallworth was a custodian in a dead end job and knew that he wanted to do something more with his career. When he got laid off, it was time for a change. He started his come-back by investigating his options around WIOA. Through the Partnership and the DCEO's NEG grant, Eldridge learned of Symbol's CNC programs. Eldridge signed up for a tour and after visiting the facility, he was sure that a career in manufacturing was in his future. With its small class sizes and hands-on training, Symbol was the best place to get him those skills that he so desperately needed. Over the 16-week program, he showed up class after class, laying the foundation for his future through hard work, attention to detail and a clear vison of the goal at hand. Upon completing the course, he found a great job at a stable company in Glenview. He will now be celebrating his one year anniversary, has already received several pay raises and more importantly a new outlook on life. "I enjoy doing this, I have a purpose. This new career has changed my life. It's nice to be able to buy presents this holiday season for my family. That feels good". We are proud to celebrate the hard work and success of Eldrige, our Symbol success story of December.
